Strengthening Warfighter Protection and Response to Irregular Warfare

Security and defense around the globe depend not only on highly complex weapon systems that dominate the air and ground, but they also rely on the technologies and warfighter skills that defend against irregular attacks. Defense Secretary Robert Gates has called for a more balanced approach that brings conventional and irregular warfare forth as equal priorities.
